The review of the New Zealand Certificate in Lifting Engineering (Level 5) with strands in Crane Erection, and Load Lifting Rigging Certification [Ref: 3733] took place between July 2023 to February 2024.
The review involved consultation with industry representatives and consensus was reached that the qualification was no longer fit for purpose, did not offer a clear pathway and was no longer required.
The qualification has been set to expire in December 2024 without replacement.
