Sue engages with employers and industry associations in civil Infrastructure: bitumen production, road construction and maintenance, contract and project management, road marking, temporary traffic management, deep piling and foundations, and forestry earthworks to ensure the civil suite of NZQA credentials meets learner and employer needs now and into the future.

Sue joined Waihanga Ara Rau after spending six years with Connexis ITO as a learning support and guidance advisor in their National Field Team. Sue is also keen to explore other ways she can support the civil sector’s workforce development challenges. She believes quality targeted training can be the ultimate competitive advantage for employers.

Outside of work, you’ll either find Sue at the Hampton Downs racetrack, walking the beautiful Mt Maunganui beach, baking up a storm in the kitchen or on skis enjoying the vast terrain of the Whakapapa ski field.
