Be part of building the pathway for the next generation of leaders 04 April 2024 Join our Te Manu Arataki Leadership Project webinars New Zealand has diverse enterprises, including numerous small and micro businesses and a thriving Māori business ecosystem. For these enterprises to succeed, growing and nurturing future leaders at all business levels is crucial. But is there more room to improve the leadership skills that the economy needs? “Te Manu Arataki i te kāhui” is a Māori metaphor that acknowledges one’s leadership qualities and compares them to a bird leading a flock, often seen when birds fly in a ‘Skein’ or ‘V’ formation. Te Manu Arataki Leadership Project is a collaborative Ohu Ahumahi workforce development council project led by Ringa Hora. Its aim is to ensure New Zealand businesses have the best opportunities to nurture future leaders at all levels. We are focusing on generic leadership skills that every industry can benefit from, which is why we want to engage with all industries. The project looks at: whether existing leadership training products are fit for purpose in delivering leadership skills now and beyond developing generic leadership products that are universally applicable where appropriate facilitating career pathways to leadership.
