Our project reviewing the qualification and unit standards for infrastructure site supervision is progressing well.
From May to August, the technical advisory group reviewed version 2 of the qualification, NZ Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Single Site Supervision) (Level 4) (Credits 110).
We want your feedback on the draft version 3, NZ Certificate in Infrastructure Site Supervision (Level 4) (Credits 50).
The main changes in version 3 are based on recommendations from the infrastructure site supervision skills consultation report.
The main recommendations are outlined below.
Email your feedback by 1 November to [email protected].
Version 3 has three graduate profile outcomes that focus on the core skills of a site supervisor.
Version 2 of the qualification was 110 credits (approximately 18 months to complete).
Version 3 is 50 credits (approximately 8 months to complete).
A reduction of credits and a focus on critical skills should encourage access to and more people to complete the qualification.
New skill standards for people management and leadership are being developed by Ringa Hora, Services Workforce Development Council, for the
Te Manu Arataki Leadership project.
We can use these skill standards in the micro-credential.
The consultation on people management and leadership skill standards that could be used in the micro-credential is in October.
The following unit standards are being reviewed as part of this project
